Fact Check & Document Review
AI-powered document analysis, fact-checking, and regulatory compliance review.
Overview
Upload any promotional document — PDF, PowerPoint, or HTML — and Solstice will analyze it for factual accuracy, regulatory compliance, and fair balance. The system annotates claims, verifies them against your reference library, checks alignment with FDA promotional guidelines, and produces a comprehensive review summary.
Document Viewer
Reviewed documents open in an annotated viewer with:
- Color-coded annotation overlays by type (fact check, regulatory, brand guidelines)
- Resizable annotation panel with claim details, source references, and status
- Confidence-level filtering to focus on high-priority findings
- Guideline-type filtering to isolate specific regulatory areas
- Page navigation, zoom, and full-text search
Fact-Check Annotations
Each claim identified in the document receives an annotation with:
- Verification status — whether the claim is supported, unsupported, or requires review
- Source reference linking with page-level citations
- Correct/incorrect status indicator with confidence score
- Comment and reply threads for team discussion
- Flag and escalation controls for claims needing attention
- Web search integration to find additional supporting sources
- Export individual claims to your claim library
HTML Fact-Check Viewer
For HTML-based content (emails, banners, web pages), the Fact Check Viewer provides an interactive overlay directly on the rendered content. Navigate between claims, view source lookups, check a compliance checklist sidebar, and provide thumbs-up or thumbs-down feedback on individual claim assessments.
Fair Balance Score
The Fair Balance Score is a quantitative assessment of how well a promotional piece balances benefit claims with risk information, as required by FDA regulations. The analysis includes:
- Overall Fair Balance score with visual chart
- Risk-versus-benefit content breakdown
- Page-by-page assessment for multi-page documents
- Specific areas of concern identified by the AI
- Actionable improvement recommendations
- Regulatory compliance assessment against FDA promotional balance requirements
Regulatory Compliance Checks
The regulatory review engine evaluates content against multiple compliance dimensions:
- Sources & References: Are all claims properly referenced with adequate source documentation?
- Guidelines — Passed: Which regulatory requirements does the content satisfy?
- Guidelines — Failed: Where does the content fall short of regulatory standards?
- Accuracy & Non-Misleading: Assessment of whether content could be considered misleading
- Misleading Imagery: Detection of potentially misleading visual elements
- ISI Compliance: Important Safety Information completeness and placement check
Page Summary
The Page Summary view provides a structured sidebar with navigation across all review findings. Navigate by page, by regulatory check item, or by annotation type. Each section expands to show detailed findings with source references and recommended actions.
MLR Review Workflow
Content generated in the workspace can be submitted for formal MLR (Medical, Legal, Regulatory) review:
- The content creator submits a review request from the workspace or project view.
- Reviewers receive the request with the content preview, AI chat history, and source materials.
- Reviewers can inspect the content, add comments, and approve, reject, or request changes.
- For multi-page content, reviewers can submit change requests per page/version.
- The creator is notified of the review outcome and can iterate accordingly.
Version Comparison
The Reviewed Documents section maintains a history of all analyzed documents. Select any two versions of a document to view a side-by-side comparison highlighting changes. An audit trail records every analysis run, annotation, and status change.
